  • POINT ROBERTS BORDER IS OPEN: Be sure to check Canada's Travel Website for any changes to crossing back into Canada. Proof of vaccine is not required as of May 12, 2023.

  • Border Wait Times: We suggest checking the wait time at EZ Border Crossing.

  • Import Restrictions: The Canadian Border Services page is a great resource for staying updated on Canadian import regulations.

  • Duties and Taxes: Not everyone is charged duties and taxes; however, the best thing to do is declare all your items and have your invoices ready. If you are concerned about duties and taxes, use the Duties and Taxes Estimator.

Tips for Crossing the Border From TSB Staff

  • Tell the truth - Declare what you’re doing and don’t be nervous. Example, “I’m crossing to pick up a parcel and gas up.”

  • Bring an invoice showing the value of the products you ordered. Invoices can be on your phone/ have ready to show IF you are asked for it.

  • Take a mental note of what you need to declare before you get to the border window. Being ready to answer what you have and how much it’s worth makes your crossing go faster.

  • Packages should be opened prior to crossing. We have knives and scissors at our facility - free of charge.
